AR24 offers qualified eIDAS electronic registered letters that are compliant with French and European laws. They are 100% dematerialized and delivered instantly by email, at a cost lower than 2.50€ (half as expensive as their paper equivalent). Each shipment includes:
- 256MB of attachments.
- 10 years of archiving (of the mail content and generated proofs) on our secure servers.
- A double timestamp by providers recognized by the French State. Thus, it becomes impossible to argue with the sender that the mail was empty or did not contain certain attachments.
In addition to its practical advantages (cheaper, faster, more ecological, easier to archive, organize, and find), the electronic registered letter AR24 has a stronger evidential value than a postal registered letter.
Generated proofs
3 proofs are generated for each shipment, with 5 possible proofs.
As soon as you hand over an electronic registered letter to AR24 to be sent, AR24 generates a Deposit Proof. Then, when AR24 delivers a notification to your recipient, you receive a Sending Proof. Depending on your recipient's action:
- A receipt acknowledgment if they accept their LRE
- A refusal proof if they refuse it
- A negligence proof if they do not open it within 15 days following the sending
Archiving, security, and confidentiality
Each mail is archived for 10 years at no additional cost on AR24's servers based in Strasbourg and duplicated at other locations in France.
- The pages, shipments, and archives are secured and encrypted.
- The confidentiality of your shipments is contractually guaranteed in our General Conditions. Only the Technical Director of AR24 has access to the contents of the mails only upon request from a sender or a recipient of LRE (if the latter has previously accepted it).
- In accordance with the law, AR24.fr is a site declared to the CNIL.
Legal value
-The qualified eIDAS LRE provides additional guarantees that the paper LRAR does not have, which gives it a reliability superior to the presumed reliability of the paper LRAR.
- The eIDAS LRE has another significant advantage over the paper LRAR: proof of content. Indeed, at each timestamp (time stamp affixed to each LRE), the content of the LRE is fully certified (textual content, photos, attachments etc). On the contrary, content certification is impossible for a paper LRAR. Even though jurisprudence considers that the proof of content falls on the recipient and not the sender, a recipient contesting the content is never a good thing and can waste a lot of time for the sender in a dispute.
- The only solution for the legal value of a notification to be absolutely indisputable is therefore the use of the LRE. Which makes it a good alternative to the LRAR.
